The BBC Children in Need Appeal night, falls on Friday the 13th of November this year. The charity helps children all over the UK, supporting those in need of food, clean clothes, medical help and much more.
This year it’s time for everyone to get together and raise even more than last years record breaking sum of £32.6 million.
This years fundraising theme sums up the appeal perfectly and asks individuals to be a hero! A hero is someone who is admired for their bravery, achievements or noble qualities and it doesn’t take a lot for you to become a hero for the thousands of children in need of your donations. To become a hero for Children in Need all you need to do is get involved anyway you can to help donate and raise awareness for the charity, this could be a fancy dress party, a bake sale event or even purchasing any of the Children in Need Pudsey products.
For 2015, the Pudsey t-shirts have been designed by Giles deacon and feature two exclusive Pudsey prints including a gold Pudsey bear. T-shirts retail at £12 with at least £7 goes to Children in Need. T-shirts can be bought direct from the Children in Need online shop or House of Fraser.
If you want to go the extra mile and dress up this year, take advantage of the theme and dress up as your childhood hero. There are many ways you can raise money by dressing up and here are some ideas:
