Twenty million raffle tickets printed every year

If you run the same draw every year, you already know how it works. This page is about the three things that tend to go wrong between one year and the next.

Registering the draw

A draw where tickets are sold in advance is normally a small society lottery and has to be registered with your local licensing authority before tickets go on sale. Registration carries obligations after the draw as well, including a return to the council. Your council holds the definitive answer and we would always send you to them — we print the tickets, we do not regulate the lottery.

What we will do is make sure the ticket itself carries everything it should, and check the wording with you before it prints if you would like us to.

Numbering that carries on from last year

This is the one that causes real trouble. If your next batch starts at 00001 again you will have duplicate numbers in a registered draw, and it cannot be corrected after printing. Tell us the last number from your previous batch and we will start the new one after it, then confirm the range back to you in writing before anything goes on press.

Larger runs and full colour

Black and white tickets run from £25 plus VAT per 1,000 to £390 plus VAT for 50,000. Full colour starts at £99 plus VAT per 1,000. Double sided, coloured paper, or books of anything other than five are all available as extras.

Over 50,000 tickets, or anything unusual, is a bespoke quote — call 01794 340 100 and ask for Paul, who will price it directly.

Something your treasurer can file

Prices on this site are shown excluding VAT, with delivery added at checkout (£7.95 to UK mainland). If the committee needs a figure signed off before you can order, ask us for a pro forma invoice and we will send one with the total, VAT and delivery all on it, so the number you take to the meeting is the number you pay.

We have been printing raffle tickets since 1946. If you would rather talk it through, call 01794 340 100.
