We are launching a new blog post series that features our favourite raffles and events of the month and we thought it would be great for our first instalment to be in honour of and support of Remembrance Sunday and The Poppy Appeal with a raffle that raised money for The Royal British Legion.
At the beginning of the month, we looked back on the beautiful installation of ceramic poppies at The Tower of London and it just so happens that this fundraising event was lucky enough to have a ceramic poppy donated to them, which they used as their one and only prize for this draw.
Kate Summers organised the event for the RBL Cranleigh Branch, in order to raise money to continue to support the work with the serving forces and ex-service personnel. The raffle draw was held at the Cranleigh Village Sports & Social Club after their Remembrance Day Service. The poppy prize was donated by Cranleigh Pimms Funeral service and was mounted in a floral display and won by the lucky individual, Mrs Sherwin.
The raffle was a complete success and Kate explained, “we were delighted with raising £583”, which is a great amount of money that will provide a lot of support.
Kate Summers said how, “she was delighted with the service she received from Raffle Tickets 4U and [the tickets] looked great” and we are so happy you could raise so much money for such a great cause!
