We have put together our top picks for the fundraising events in August. There is something for everybody including a gallery exhibition, hike, endurance race and an adrenaline rush! Take a challenge and lend a helping hand by raising money for our countries much loved charities. Even if you can’t take part, head down to the event and show your support for the participants.
Trans-Pennine Mighty Hike

Registration fee: £25. Minimum sponsorship: £250
Challenge yourself on a 27 mile hike across some of the most beautiful landscape in England. You’ll journey along the Trans-Pennine Trail through the beautiful Peak District taking in the summer sun, the fantastic views and raising £250 for Macmillan. You will be well looked after with a free buffet lunch and hot food at the finish, regular check points with free drinks and snacks, a clearly marked route and medical assistance, as well as a finisher’s medal and bubbly.

The exhibition is free to enter and 50% of all artwork sold will go to Marie Curie.
All the art that’s being showcased will be on sale, with at least 50% from the sale of each work going straight to Marie Curie to help support people living with a terminal illness across the UK. Don’t miss this fantastic opportunity to purchase original works by Scottish artists, including Cecilia Cardiff and Gerard Burns.

With the full 100km option, halves and quarter options available, you can take part what ever your fitness level. Take in the views of the gorgeous south coast of England and challenge your body to raise money for a charity of you choice.

You will then take the trip of a life time, flying over the river down a 1000ft long zip wire.
